CONTENT OF NATIONAL AIR QUALITY STATUS REPORT • Extent of pollution in the country, per type of pollutant and per type of source, based on the Department’s monitoring stations • Analysis and evaluation of the current state, trends and projections of air pollution at various levels • Identification of critical areas, activities or projects which will need closer monitoring or regulation; • Recommendations for necessary executive and legislative action • Pertinent qualitative and quantitative information concerning the extent of air pollution and the air quality performance rating of industries in the country.

  5. LEGAL FRAMEWORK CLEAN AIR ACT Chapter 4 : Institutional Mechanism Section 39. Public Education and Information Campaign. A continuing air quality information and education campaign shall be promoted by the DENR, the Dep Ed, the DILG, the DA and Philippine Information Agency (PIA). Consistent with Section 7 of this Act, such campaign shall encourage the participation of other government agencies and the private sector including NGOs, POs, the academe, environmental groups and other private entities in a multi-sectoral information campaign

  9. GOAL of the PA COMPONENT • By the end of 2004, transport, industries and the general public are practicing activities towards clean air.

  10. OBJECTIVES • To promote awareness of the relevant provisions of the Clean Air Act. • To provide information of clean air in order to encourage change of behavior and practices.
