IEEE ZERO SEQUENCE/CORE BALANCE TRANSFORMERS Applications: • Detection of ground/earth fault currents in 3 or 4 wire systems. • HGF CT’s specifically designed to match the ground fault input of Multilin motor protection relays. These CT’s have 2000:1 ratio (50:0.25A) • For low or solidly grounded systems a 5A secondary CT should be used. Typical primary ratings are 50A AND 100A.
