Fishman is a partner with Shaw Gussis Fishman Glantz Wolfson & Towbin LLC in Chicago, where his practice concentrates on debtor-creditor relations, insolvency and bankruptcy and he participates in all aspects of bankruptcy cases, including significant representation of trustees, debtors-in-possession, creditors’ committees, financial institutions and other secured creditors in both the protection of and realization on their secured claims and in general bankruptcy litigation. An ABI past-president, he is also a member of the American Bar Association’s Business Bankruptcy Committee and Secured Creditors and U.S. Trustee Subcommittees, Chicago Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association’s Commercial, Banking and Bankruptcy Law Section Council, the National Association of Credit Managers-Oregon Inc.’s Bankruptcy and Insolvency Group and the Board of Directors for the George Washington University Law Alumni Association. A fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy, Mr. Fishman is a frequent lecturer and author, selected as one of Illinois’s leading business bankruptcy attorneys by Leading Illinois Attorneys. He is admitted to the bars of Illinois and the U.S. District Courts of the Northern District of Illinois and the Eastern District of Wisconsin, as well as the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Keach is a shareholder at Bernstein, Shur, Sawyer & Nelson in Portland, Maine, where he focuses on the representation of various parties in workouts and bankruptcy cases, including debtors, creditors, creditors’ committees, lessors and third parties acquiring troubled companies and/or their assets. Mr. Keach has also appeared as a panelist on national bankruptcy, lender liability and creditors rights programs, and is the author of several articles on bankruptcy and creditors’ rights. He is a fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy and a member of ABI’s Board of Directors. He chairs ABI’s Business Reorganization Committee and is a contributing editor to the ABI Journal’s “News at 11” column. Licensed by the State Bar of Texas in 1982, he has been an active bankruptcy practitioner for more than 20 years. He currently serves as ABI’s president and is a former contributing editor to the ABI Journal as well as a former chairman of the American Board of Certification (ABC). Mr. Penn has been Board Certified in Business Bankruptcy Law by both the ABC and the Texas Board of Legal Specialization for almost 15 years. He is a frequent author and speaker on various bankruptcy topics and served as the course director for the 20th Annual Advanced Business Bankruptcy Law Course sponsored by the State Bar of Texas. Mr. Penn has represented a variety of parties in numerous cases, including publicly held debtors, indenture trustees, creditors' committees, adversary proceeding defendants and both secured and unsecured creditors. Ms. Whyte is ABI’s immediate past-president and sits on the boards of several companies, including Amerisure Insurance, AGL Resources, Washington Group International Inc., Solera Capital, Purdue University Dean’s Advisory Council and St. John’s Law School Advisory Board. She is also an adjunct professor of Law at Fordham University School of Law. Ms. Whyte has conducted seminars throughout the country for bankers, lawyers and corporate officers on the topics of reorganizations, bankruptcies, valuations and lender liability, and is a contributing editor to the ABI Journal’s “Turnaround Topics” column.
