April 28-May 2 PLACEMENT • Contact AT in advance and go over schedule. • Continue observation notes from October. • Full lesson plans must be done for all lessons you are asked to teach. • Please take your police check with you to placement just as in October. • Remember to have PT Binder available for your AT to see. Keep binder up to date.

  4. PLACEMENT CONT’D Missed placement days- Both AT and ptoffice@nipissingu.ca should be notified. Reminder that placement dates cannot be changed. Contact Sandra Minor right away if you are experiencing difficulty or have questions regarding your placement.

  5. YEAR FIVE PLACEMENT • Alternative OR Regular Placement: • January 12-February 6, 2015 • Regular Placements: • February 9-27, 2015 Three weeks • March 2-March 27, 2015 • March 30-April 17, 2015 • Please mark these dates in your calendar NOW! Six weeks

  6. PRACTICUM FORMS • Forms are now found on the Concurrent website. Click Here • Sign and date the Practicum Information Form indicating knowledge and understanding of procedures and policies of the PT Office. • Hand all three pages in to the PT Office by Monday April 14, 2014. • Cannot guarantee first choice for forms received after the deadline.

  7. Police Vulnerable Sector Check • Begin the process of obtaining a police check August 18, 2014 • Deadline for receiving PVSC: Friday December 12, 2014 • Failure to provide a police check by the deadline will result in the Cancellation of placement for the 2014-2015 academic year.

  8. Friendly Reminders • Remember, if I do not receive your forms by April 8, 2013, I cannot guarantee your first choice for placement. • Will try to get placements in both divisions. • Not unusual for you to have all nine weeks at the same school. • Please do not attempt to arrange your own placement under any circumstances. Even if you have a teacher that may be interested in hosting you, I cannot guarantee the board will place you with this teacher. • DO NOT Approach principals for the purpose of soliciting a placement. • Placements will be given to students starting in September.
