Pool Investigation Problem 1. Jack has an above ground pool behind his house, but he is worried that the neighbor’s children keep swimming in the pool when he is not home. He wants to put a fence around the top of the pool. The pool is in the shape of a rectangle. It is 10 ft by 8 ft.
2. Smith also has a pool that needs a fence but his pool is square. His pool has side lengths of 7.5 ft.
3. Suppose Jack and Smith’s pools are combined as shown below. How much fence would be needed to surround this pool?
