  1. Senior English 4/9/18 • How do you choose pieces of the play to include in your scene? How do you turn it into something that would happen in Okanogan? • Where do dogs go if they lose their tails? • Sloomy – sluggish, spiritless, dull. Goals – Refocus our efforts on the Hamlet interpretation. Groups search on line for original text to base your adaptations on. Character and critical lens in a modern context. Homework – Keep selecting parts of the play to include in your adaptation.

  2. Senior English 4/10/18 • Describe the theme and lens you are going to attempt. Just explore ideas that you think might work. • What can you hold without ever touching it? • Shacklety – a building that is about to fall down. Goals – Work on finding text from the original Hamlet that may be useful. Make sure of the thematic connections to Hamlet. Homework – Complete all examination and printing of useful text from original Hamlet.

Senior English 4/11/18 • Write on a subject of your choice related to your scene adaptation. • What country makes you shiver? • Whale – to strike vigorously. “Jeb whaled on his cousin Jake.” • Goals – Complete your word documents that have original Hamlet script. Begin annotation. • Homework – Complete word documents with original Hamlet script if you didn’t get it done in class.

  4. Senior English 4/12/18 • What do you think will be the strength of your adaptation? What will be the weakness? Why? • What did one elevator say to the other? • Hesh – short for “he and she.” Not widely accepted. • Goals – Analyze and annotate the original Hamlet script. Then begin writing your one-act or newspaper. • Homework – Complete your analysis and annotation. Before class tomorrow.

  5. Senior English 4/13/18 • What is still left to do to be able to present your adaptation? When will you get it done? How? • What did one magnet say to the other? • Hirm – short for “him or her.” Not widely accepted. • Goals – Begin work on scripts and newspapers. They must be word processed with the usual format and have a proper heading. Newspapers should be created in publisher. • Homework – Get together with your group members to record any scenes you have completed writing. Or, get at least one article written for your paper.
