  2. St. Louis, Missouri • Lewis and Clark Expedition began in St. Louis, Missouri. Thomas Jefferson bought a land called the Louisiana Purchase. • St. Louis , Missouri relates to the Manifest Destiny by when Lewis and Clark Expedition was over they came back to tell the others about there journey. • When they told the people who were back in St. Louis about their journey, more people began to move to the west.

  3. Independence, Missouri • Independence, Missouri is where most of the Americans who were moving west began. • Independence, Missouri relates to Manifest Destiny by that’s where people who believed in moving to the west began.

  4. San Jacinto River, Texas The Battle of San Jacinto took place at the San Jacinto river. This battle was between the Texans and the Texas dictator Santa Anna. The Texans gained their independence by kidnapping Santa Anna and forcing into signing Texas. The Battle of San Jacinto relates to Manifest Destiny by when the Texans gained their independence from Santa Anna the Texans told their family about how great Texas was, so they began to move towards the west.

  5. Mexico City, New Mexico • Mexico City is where one of the battles of the Mexican War took place. The Mexican War between the Mexicans and the Americans. Americans wanted to take their land away from them. • The Treaty of Guadalupe-Hidalgo was granted to the United States 1848. This treaty granted the United States part of California. • The Mexican War relates to the Manifest Destiny by when the treaty was given to the United States more people began to move to the west.

  6. Sutter’s Mill, California • Sutter’s Mill is where the Gold Rush began. Sutter’s mill is where many people began to move towards because there was rumors going around that there was gold found there. • Sutter’s Mill, California relates to the Manifest Destiny by when people who were in the East heard about the gold being found many people began to move towards the West because of the gold opportunities, people wanted to be rich.

  7. Oregon City, Oregon • Oregon City was where the Oregon Trail ended. The Oregon Trail was where the Americans began to move West in search of a better life. • The Oregon Trail relates to Manifest Destiny by many people began to move towards the West.

  8. Oklahoma City, Oklahoma • Oklahoma City is where the Indians where forced to move to. This waspart of the Trail of Tears. The Trail of Tears began in Alabama. • The Indians were forced to move away from their by the United States. The U.S wanted their land so the Indians were forced to to move to the West. • Oklahoma City ; Trail of Tears relates to Manifest Destiny because the Indians were forced to move towards the west. Also many people began to move to the west.
