Fun &Interesting Facts! More then 60,000 army nurses served stateside & overseas during world war one. Women who worked on the farm were called Farmerettes. Many women lost their lives trying to make bombs for war. During & after the war women were quoted to have better motor skills then men. When the men came home that number decreased about 50%. The percentage of the women in U.S military is 20%. It has been said if men can do it so can WOMEN!! During the first war women employment increased 81%.
