  2. Progress Update • Finance: Begun the process of incorporation; preparation for changeover on 1 August • Accom/Socials: in the process of getting quotes for providers, venues • Preliminary dates: 8 – 15 July2013

  3. Strategic Direction and Vision for Conference • Inclusiveness, social responsibility, equal opportunity • Drawing upon the resources of ALSA – promoting the idea of ‘ALSA beyond Conference’ • Using Tri-Law (WA) resources & giving ALSA a profile in Western Australia

  4. Proposed New Initiatives • Opening registration at Conference 2012 and providing incentives for registering early • Expansion of careers programme: Careers Director • Social justice aspect added to Education portfolio

  5. Issues to be Addressed • Splitting accommodation across multiple providers • High costs of holding a conference in Perth • High costs of travel to Perth • Sponsorship arrangements: minors and WA-only corporates (e.g. Squire Sanders, Jackson McDonald)
