  1. 11 Ways On How To Stay In The Present Moment

  2. Smile Each day is full of endless new adventures and opportunities. Start them with a smile. You can control your attitude; hence, try to keep it optimistic and calm from the start of the day. Be intentional about it, and you’ll soon find yourself doing it every time without any realization.

  3. Appreciate all your moments of today Soak in your present moment as much as you can. Appreciate all the things around you- the sounds, the view, nature, the smell, emotions, etc. These tend to be present in your daily lives but you usually forget to appreciate and explore them. Doing this will help you to be more mindful and live in the present moment.

  4. Forgive Your Past If you are still holding onto the past grudges and hurts, try to forgive them. Having them will make you constantly think about it and make you sad rather than happy. Choose to ignore them and move ahead in life. The harm was their fault, but allowing it to influence you today is your choice. Think of it as a lesson and let it go.

  5. Dream About Your Future, But Work Hard Today There is no bad thing about dreaming of a successful future. Set goals and plans for the future. But work hard today. Working hard is the first and most crucial step towards attaining your dreams tomorrow. Don’t allow yourself to dream about tomorrow rather than try to live in the present moment and achieve your goals. Dreaming about the future is only effective when combined with the actions you take today.

  6. Don’t Dwell On Your Past Achievements If you still talk about your past accomplishments, it means you haven’t done anything today. There is plenty of time today to build upon past successes and achieve more memories and achievements for the future-you. You’ll surely thank yourself for the successes you collect today.

  7. Stop Worrying You can’t thoroughly learn how to live more at the moment if you worry too much about tomorrow. Realize that you don’t have any control over the things that will happen tomorrow. This can be only possible if you stop worrying about tomorrow and focus on the tasks and work you should do today. Since worry has never accomplished anything for anyone, direct your mental energy to productive activity.

  8. Conquer Your Addictions Anything beyond a limit is an addiction. Addiction holds you hostage in your own life. They restrict you from living a completely free life and remove your mental focus to be able to live in the present moment. Find some help to cure your addiction. Take necessary steps to remove their influence over your life. Take control of your life in your hands to allow yourself to live in the moment addiction-free.

  9. Use Yoga To Connect With The Present Moment Yoga is a great tool to connect your mind with the present moment and increase your mental focus. No doubt yoga is helpful for mindfulness, but one of the biggest reasons is that it helps you focus on your breath and mind.

  10. Practice Writing A Journal Another good example of practicing mindfulness is writing a journal. Journaling helps in increasing the focus to help you work effectively. You can practice writing a journal either in the morning after waking up or before your bedtime to review your day.

  11. Think Beyond Your Old Solutions To The New Problems The world is changing so fast that the solutions which were effective yesterday are no longer the correct answers for today’s issues. Never get locked into a “but we’ve always done it that way” mentality. Broaden your mind to gain new perspectives, and that’s how you can also practice mindfulness to be present at the moment.

  12. Remove Unneeded Possessions A simple and minimalistic life forces you to live in the present. Removing items associated with your past memories allow you to stop living in the past. Once the power has been taken from your memories, you tend to live in the present moment.
