The canyon, formed through the erosion of the jurasiccalcar of the mountain, is 2 900 m long and the walls are over 300 mt high. CheileTurzii features one of the richest and most scenic landscapes in Romania. 7. CASTEL BRAN Castle Bran situated near Bran and very close to Braşov, is a national monument and landmark in Romania. The fortress is situated on the border between Transylvania and Wallachia. Commonly known as "Dracula's Castle" , it is marketed as the home of the main character in Bram Stoker's Dracula. The castle is now a museum open to tourists, displaying art and furniture collected by Queen Marie. At the bottom of the hill is a small open air museum park exhibiting traditional Romanian peasant structures (cottages, barns, etc.) from all over the country.
