You and your classmates are shipwrecked on a deserted, uncharted island with no hope of being rescued • You must work together to build a community • Follow the guidelines on your sheet to create a rulebook for your community • ALL MEMBERS must sign the rule book • All members must take part • You will have 20 minutes

Divide both flaps in half, creating 2 doors on each flap • Carefully cut the 2 doors on the front flap, • DO NOT cut through the fold
On the last flap (the one farthest to the right) , divide each door into four strips • Carefully cut each strip, being careful not to cut through the fold
Label the top door with the word :AUTOCRACY • Label the bottom door with the word: DEMOCRACY AUTOCRACY DEMOCRACY

Parliamentary Democracy • Government in which the executive brand (leaders)- prime minister and cabinet- are chosen by and responsible to Legislature (parliament) as well as being members of the Legislature • Great Britain, Spain, Japan
Presidential Democracy • Government in which there is a separation of powers between independent and co-equal executive and legislative branches • United States, Mexico
