  4. Showing some P.D.A. P rior What do you do before you begin annotating? D uring How do you annotate your class lecture notes? A fter What do you do with the annotated notes?

  5. P rior This strategy can be used for textbooks, readings, and any handout given in class. • Reexamine the titles, subtitles, and section headings of the notes • Study any illustrations or graphs from the notes. • Look for any underlined words from the notes.

  6. D uring This strategy can be adapted for different subject matters. We need to decide how to make it work for us. • Identify people of note • Identify places/times • Identify key vocabulary • Identify unfamiliar words • Identify important content • Identify important concept • Connect information • Has a Question ! ?

  7. This could be confusing for the students if we stop here. We must show them how to immediately use this information.
