Pendahuluan • Indonesia memiliki berbagai komoditi perkebunan yang bukan hanya untuk pasar DN tapi juga untuk LN • Indonesia penghasil sawit terbesar di dunia, penghasil karet kedua terbesar, kakao ketiga terbesar, vanila, lada, kopi (keempat), teh, dll • Sebagian besar diekspor, penghasil devisa

Kondisi Umum Lahan Pertanian • Total luas potensi lahan pertanian 70 juta ha, yang efektif untuk produksi pertanianadalah45 juta ha. • Produk pangan utamadihasilkan dari lahan sawah seluas 7,9 juta ha dan di lahan kering seluas 15,6 juta. • Luas lahan sawah cenderung menurunsebagaiakibatalih fungsi lahan sawah menjadilahan non pertanian (sekitar50-70 ribu ha per tahun) sementarapencetakan sawah 20-40 ribu ha per tahun. • Perkebunan lebih kurang 18 juta hektar
