  1. Pack 5 Newsletter March 2013 Re-chartering Process – Pack 5 has successfully completed the Re-chartering process for 2013. We currently have 74 Active Scouts and 26 leaders! We achieved the Gold Standard Award as well! Thank you for your help with this process. In coming weeks you may be asked to update or complete medical forms as needed. SERVICE PROJECTS!!! February – Clean Up Project at Sanford Creek Nature Walk Area February 23 from 9 – 12pm More details coming on what tools to bring; Parents need to be with their Scout on this event March - Service Project Project - collect food for Ronald Mac Donald house (tentative) Pinewood Derby Pack 5 enjoyed many races, fast cars and lots of fun on February 9th! Thank you to all the volunteers who made this event a lot of fun for the boys and the parents! BLUE and GOLD Banquet – Call for Volunteers March 9th Pack 5 is putting the final preparations on this event. If you would like to help out with this event, contact Kevin Herman! Camp Card Fundraiser Pack 5 will be selling Camp Cards starting March 15th. 20 cards sold will pay for a Cub Scout’s Graduation Camp Out! Options to pay for other Summer camps will be available as well. Sell as many cards as you want. See Sandra Pierce to get the forms for tracking sales and amounts due to the Cub Scouts for their Camps. Go Hiking and Earn Rewards!! We go hiking (with other Packs in the District) the first Sunday of every month at 2 p.m. Scouts can earn the hiking belt loop and other neat rewards, as they accumulate miles. These are family outings, just bring water and wear good walking shoes!
