Habitat • The tigers habitat is a tropical rain forest in Sumatra, Indonesia. • It lives in the lower part of the Indonesian mountains. • They also live in swamps ,grasslands and savannas. They like to live close to water.
Color • They are reddish-yellow with long black stripes. Their stripes are thinner than others. • Tigers have partial webbed feet unlike other species of tigers. Their webbed toes help them swim faster.
Weight • A males tigers weight can be from (220-310). • A females tigers weight can be from (165-245).
Diet • The tigers diet in the wild is wild pigs, monkeys, birds, crocodiles, fish and reptiles. • A tigers diet in a zoo is a feline diet.
Predators and Remaining Population • The Sumatran Tigers only predators is humans. • The remaining population of the Sumatran Tiger is less than 500.
The Reason its Endangered • The reason the Sumatran Tiger is endangered is because its lose of habitat and its being poached. Humans are overpopulating.
