  2. Assessment • Existing conflict is reducing productivity within the company • Communication has broken down between members of management • There is no clear mission statement upon which to make decisions

  3. Proposal • Bring in facilitator to help bring company employees and management together and generate a mission, vision and values statement • Create Conflict Resolution System in company • Provide leadership, communication and interpersonal skills training across the company

  4. Mission Statement • Helps everyone understand the mission, vision and values of the organization • Provides foundation for developing functional systems within the organization • Clarifies goals and direction of the organization

  5. A Conflict Resolution System: • Provides options to prevent, identify, and resolve disputes • Fosters culture where good faith dissent is allowed and conflict is resolved at the lowest level • Provides multiple access points for employees involved in conflict • Gives employees multiple options for addressing conflict • Includes support structures for multiple options and promotes conflict resolution competence within the organization

  7. Assistants to Success • Have a champion to lead training program • Write a conflict management procedure and make it available on intranet or via handouts • Provide sensitivity training to technical staff
