  4. Class Notes: The Brain • What does my brain do? • brain controls nervous system • The human brain weighs just 3 pounds • Bigger brain does not mean smarter • A whale’s brain is 8 times the size of a human brain, but a whale cannot write music

  5. Class Notes: The Brain What are the 3 parts of the brain? -Brain stem – Controls breathing, heart beating, blinking, swallowing -Cerebellum – Balance and Coordination. Ex: standing, walking, dancing -Cerebrum – Thinking and memory. Ex: Math class!
