Soentpiet Sample by WES 4th grader The rusty old truck rolling down the road, the John Deere tractors slinging dust over the farms grassy hills, and the morning sun peeking over the horizon, that's where I come from. Friday afternoons roaming through the woods, trying not to step on any briers on the way, and Friday and Saturday night football games, that’s where I come from. Sitting on the front porch watching the birds fly through the sky, while drinking a glass of ice cold sweet tea, that’s where I come from. Greeting people at church with smiles, and listening to preacher David preach about God, that’s where I come from. Sunday lunch and backyard football games, that’s where I come from Catching fire flies in the last light of the day, that’s where I come from. Watching the sun sink down beyond the horizon, and saying goodbye to the day, that’s where I come from.
