This Week’s Hazards Mountain Snow With Valley Rain and/or Snow Wednesday – Friday • Impacts: • Difficult travel over mountain passes • Blowing snow and reduced visibility at times • Stress on newborn livestock • Potential Snow Accumulation: • Mountains Above Pass Level: 4” – 8” • Pass Level: 2” – 5” • Below Pass Level: 1” – 2”
Precipitation Forecast (Through 7am Saturday ) • Over 1” of liquid equivalent possible across portions of western and southwest Montana • Heaviest precipitation amounts primarily expected in the mountains • Drier trend over far eastern Montana Graphic shows liquid equivalent of snowfall or rainfall amounts
