Records since 1896 • SHV 4” Soil Temp = 92 **Current average monthly temperature in Tyler = 90.6. This is 1 degree warmer than the warmest month on record.
Overview Today + Friday Above average temperatures through the period. Low chances for rain...especiallyAR, LA, Deep East TX. Weekend Continued Hot Continued low rain chances Monday through Wednesday Upper level high pressure ridge will shift from east coast to Rockies back to east coast through the period. High temperatures will remain in the upper 90s/near 100. Rain chances will remain 20-30%. National Weather Service Shreveport, Louisiana

Monday • Ridge quickly shifts back west. • Means hot temps in TX again. • Best rain chances will be south and east H
Wednesday + • Upper ridge transitions back to Eastern US • Remain hot through transition. • Isolated storms possible once it moves H
Forecast Precip Next 5 Days • Best chances south and east • Very isolated in NE TX…SE OK…SW AR.

Drought Outlook • Appears that only something tropical or an abnormal weather pattern would break our drought through October
