  2. Responsibility -You are responsible for you and your own actions. Keep hands and feet to yourself Listen when the teacher is talking Raise your hand Talk/work quietly Ask if you don’t know

  3. Relationships • Your relationships will be great if you are: Kind and Polite to others Cooperate with each other Don’t use bad language

  4. Respect • You must respect the teacher, yourself, • and others Maintain self-control Take care of classroom and materials No throwing anything Always ask permission

  5. Procedures

  6. Entering the room: Quietly Sit in Circle time or Sit at your assigned table Wait for instruction

  7. Bathroom You may only use the bathroom during your working time You must ask permission to leave You must have a pass

  8. Windows No tapping on glass No playing at windows in class or in the hall

  9. Supplies You may not gather supplies unless you have permission, this means asking the teacher One student will be assigned from each table to gather supplies, when instructed by the teacher. If you use any of the supplies, they must be returned to the correct place at the end of class.

  10. Sinks, Washing Hands and Paintbrushes Teacher will give permission for hand washing Only three people at a time may be at the sink. You must wait your turn No Splashing Keep your hands/feet to yourself Paintbrushes should be rinsed or put into the paintbrush buckets to soak

  12. Lining Up to Leave You will be dismissed by the art teacher by: Tables, Boys, Girls Alphabet Trivia Any other way the teacher chooses No talking in line

  13. You may not touch or work on any project except your own, unless permission has been granted

  14. Emergencies: Line up quickly and quietly No talking in line Listen for instructions

  15. Consequences to any or all infractions of rules 1st offense Verbal Warning 2nd offense Individual Conference and/or Parent Contact Level 1 documentation and a consequence 3rd offense Level 1 documentation and Parent contact, removal from project and possible removal from room 4th offense Conduct referral sent to the office Teacher reserves the right to use other methods as deemed necessaryi.e.: Move seats, detention, extra assignment, contracts, etc.

  16. Abuse of Materials/Supplies will not be tolerated

  17. Expectation I expect all students to abide by the rules. I expect only the best work possible from each student. I expect every student to have successes in art. I expect all students to learn about, appreciate, and understand the process of art.

Student Goals Complete more work Complete work neatly Follow directions without arguing or asking the teacher to repeat directions Get along better with others Have a more positive attitude Learn form your mistakes Stay focused on your project Talk only at appropriate times Self-Monitor, be in charge of you Be more creative, use your imagination Try new things without complaining

  19. Responsible Noise Working without talking Quietly asking a neighbor a question Raising your hand to ask or answer a question Quietly moving around the room when it is allowed Sharpening pencil with permission Talking quietly with the people at your table when it is your turn to work, and permission has been given for talking. Staying in your assigned seat.

  20. Disruptive Noise/Behavoir Talking while the teacher is talking Getting out of your seat without permission Tapping feet, pencils, hands, etc. Blurting out a question or answer, giving commentary without permission Getting up and talking to someone across the room without permission. Humming, whistling singing to self Yelling of any kind, for any reason.
