  2. Objectives • Present the framework of School Improvement in DoDEA as it is today. Review how the framework is supportive of an approach to school improvement that is systematic and systemic—part of the school culture, focused on learning (data), and intended to positively impact student achievement. 2. Briefly describe artifacts. 3. Discuss school next steps. 4. Develop agenda items for future discussion.

Artifacts that Help Us Tell Our Story to Stakeholders and Track Success Most are managed in ASSISTTM • Executive summary • Self-Assessment with supporting evidence • Summative -Data Collection Tool for School • Evidence of Comprehensive Assessment System • Status Reports (continuously updated) • Online school improvement plan(s) (annual) • Profile/Presentation/Portfolio • PD/Assessment Calendar • Demographic update • Assurances

Improvement Plan Updates • Goals—similar language • Measurable objectives • Who? • On what? • By when? • How much? • Using what measure? • What activities must we complete? • Strategy replaces intervention • Specific/concrete; imagine a new teacher or administrator • What exactly is minimum expectation for strategy? • Activities include professional development and assessment • Monitoring plan?

School Next Steps • Review CSI Timeline • Develop School Profile Presentation • Complete SIPs and start entering into ASSIST • Develop measurable objectives • Solidify the goals, strategies, assessments • Complete PD and Assessment Calendar • Update Status Reports and Summative Data System (spreadsheet) Continually • Update Executive Summary • Organize Self Assessment Activities • Evidence that is not put in ASSIST, please put in !Accreditation Folder on your common drive
