Seat Belt Interlock • Prevents the forklift from being started if the driver has not buckled their seat belt • If unbuckled while the forklift is running, a buzzer will sound and a warning will display
Idle Timer • The Idle Timer shuts down the forklift if the vehicle is idle for a predetermined amount of time • Saves money on LPG fuel and battery power • Helps avoid the potential dangerous situation of vehicles being left running while unattended
Load Weight Display • Digital Load Weight Readout and Over Load Alert • Each time an operator lifts a load, the weight is clearly displayed • If a load is greater than the safe working limit, a buzzer will sound and warn the operator • Consecutive loads can be added together to calculate the overall weight lifted
Vehicle Operating History • Critical data is recorded and stored locally on the Speedshield Unit • Data such as average speed, time the forklift is in motion, and number of lifts can all be extracted via a PDA or laptop with Bluetooth communications
GSM Server Based Reporting and GPS Position Feedback • Data is sent to a central server via the GSM network • Fleet managers can access this data via a secure online monitoring and reporting system • The last known location of the forklift is recorded if the vehicle has a GPS modem installed.
