  3. Project definition • Phase I: Acquire data • Phase II: Spatial analysis –producing derived layers • Phase III: Geoprocessing- estimating basin characteristics

  4. Major Tools/Resource Used • ArcGIS and Arc Hydro • Protecting Aquatic Ecosystem (Stanley et al. 2005) • Arc Model builder • X-Tools Pro, Hawth’s Tools

  5. Successes • Acquired ~100 datasets • Delineated 81 contributing basins • Added more than 32 parameters to basins attribute tables

  6. DFD • This is just one small piece of the project • Previous to this we used ArcHydro • Discovered new tools • Rob will continue using Hawth’s tools

  7. Large datasets - Split Unstable software - Errors Shifting protocols - Revisions Updated datasets and software mid-project - New versions Problems
