Attendance Issues • Missing school can result in credit loss • Difficult to pass classes • Referral to Saturday school • Referral to truancy officer • Possible drop from school (10 days)
4 X 4 BLOCK SCHEDULING • Students enroll in 4 classes per term, thus 8 classes per year. • Each term-long class can earn 10 credits. • 8 classes x 10 credits = 80 credits per year • 80 credits per year x 4 years = 320 credits! • TWO TERMS – FALL AND SPRING – MAKEUP UP A SCHOOL YEAR.

Exit Exam • Two Parts: ELA and Math - Study guides available sophomore year • Must pass both sections - Passing score is 350 • First attempt is in the Spring of Sophomore year - 2 more attempts Junior year; 3 more attempts Senior year
Credits • Must earn a minimum of 280 credits • Failed required credits must be made up either in Summer School or by repeating the class • Subject areas have credit requirements
