Then What? • After you create you e-portfolio, LinkedIn account, personal website: • USE IT! • Post it to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc • (Think about cleaning up your digital dirt) • Depending on which you use, use the “email function” of the site to draft emails directly to employers, OR send the link to your self and forward as needed.
Pitfalls • Too skimpy- no elaboration (these tools are not for everyone, but don’t assume, make an appointment with a CS staff to explore ideas) • Too wordy and compact • DO NOT disregard personal networking and a well written paper resume • Use good judgment- know your audience
