Christians are a Fellowship of Believers • We believe that Jesus is the Son of God…that He died for our Salvation…that He was resurrected from the dead and now sits at the Right Hand of the Father • Our strength as disciples lies in our faith and our unity; our strength is enhanced by our numbers • Our purpose is to unite and inspire Christians • Lord, may our walk and our service be a picture of the unity of the Father, Son and Spirit in Heaven.

  3. Claiming the Strength That We Have Been Given • “For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.” (Acts 5: 38-39)

  4. Our Objective • Unite and Inspire Christians to leverage their collective influence. • Provide a visible show of numbers/strength • Create a sense of unity between Christians • Develop forums in which the full Fellowship of Believers can participate.

  5. Key Message: Light on a Hill • Jesus appointed us to be His light in the world. “A city on a hill cannot be hidden…Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:14,16) • “His Light Shines Here” will be the identifying message.

  6. Provide a Visible Show of Numbers • Yard signs for every Christian household: His Light Shines Here • T-shirts/Sweatshirts: His Light Shines Here • Banners for churches: His Light Shines Here • “The Lord thunders at the head of His army; His forces are beyond number, and mighty are those who obey His command” (Joel 2:11a)

  8. Create a Sense of Unity Between Christians • Fall kick-off event downtown in the Old National Events Plaza (Aiken Theatre) • Fellowship forums held in a central location • Messages focusing on unity/common beliefs • “All the believers were of one in heart and mind.” (Acts 5:32)

  9. Fellowship of Believers: Kick-Off • FallKick-off Event • Gather at 2:00 pm on a Sunday afternoon in Aiken Theatre • Worship and share messages of unity • Break into pre-designated groups for a community-wide Prayer Walk
