I have created my contents page for my hip hop music magazine, I layedthe contents page in a particular way to make it look like the magazine is divided between the feud of “french montanna” and “50 cent”. I have looked at existing music magazines such as vibe, and hip hop magazine to get an idea of what the conventions of a magazine should be, depending on the target audience. My contents page

  2. Vibe contents page The main image of the contents page has taken most of the whole page, the colorsused are dark giving it a unique look. Vibes contents page masthead, is used in a particular way with the V on its own, letting the audience know it’s a vibe magazine There are more captions used to give more detail about the image with a very small font as it is not very important than the other feautures The two subheading on vibes contents page “features” and “fashion” is arranged in a specific way so that it can be eligible for there audience to read it without any difficulties At the bottom of this contents page, there is a small print of photgraphies credit, this is to reinforce their rights

My music magazine There are two images in my contents page, which are divided in 2 sections to show the feud between both artists There are two subheadings as conventionally used in vibe magazine “features” and “reviews” There are captions in capital letters to indicate to the audience that the main article of the music magazine is of both artists interview.

  4. How can my content page uses, challenges and develops conventions • I have followed vibe conventions to an extent such as using the ‘features’ and ‘review’ column in my contents page, to give the audience a quick ease to what there interested in, in the magazine. • However I have also challenged some conventions for my contents page as I have included more than one image like vibe magazine normally does. I decided to use two images to show the audience that the magazine is about two artist having feud between themselves. (the ‘VS’ in the middle of my contents page illustrates that
