  1. PROPHECY

  2. INTRODUCTION • Gods people are people of prophecy • Builds us through prophecy • Bless us through prophecy • Your mouth is a compass of your life • Your future & dreams are in your mouth

  3. CHAPTER 1 • People of prophecy means people of promise the word. (Romans 9:8) PROPHECY IS TWO FOLD: • FORETELLING means to tell ahead of time things in the mind of God concerning a person/people/places or event • FORTH TELLING means to speak forth, tell out or tell forward what is in the mind of God • NB: Foretelling is not the same as fortune telling, palm reading etc • Therefore prophecy is of two categories the ministry of a prophet and the use of the gift of prophecy • The use of the gift is given to any believer

  4. The Gift of Prophecy • To be a prophet you have to be called in that office • Not everybody who prophesy is a prophet • The gift of prophecy is for: • Exhortation • Comfort • Edification • We prophecy according to the proportion our faith (Rom 12:6) • Prophets have revelations, signs & wonders • Words of Power with the ability of God to cause changes -

  5. CHAPTER 2THE VALLEY OF DRY BONES • The power and importance of prophecy is revealed (Ezekiel 37) • We can prophesy to anything eg car • The spoken, revealed word of God • Prophecy edifies the Church(1 Corith 14:2-3)

  6. CHAPTER 3YE ARE GODS • The Psalmist states by revelation that: • We are Gods • Due to lack of knowledge & understanding • We live and die like mere man • Jesus has made us kings • Where the word of a king is there is power

  7. CHAPTER 4YOU ARE THE PROPHET OF YOUR LIFE • God is not running everything • God has given us the power to influence our destiny • Prayer & prophecy must agree • Say it, See it, and you have got it (power of imagination) • It must be revelation in your Spirit • Don’t curse prophesy about anything eg Church • Every time you talk about your life you prophesy

  8. CHAPTER 5CHART YOUR COURSE WITHYOUR MOUTH • The tongue is the most powerful member of the body (James 3:5) • Don’t talk and weeds I‘ll grow. • The primary purpose of the mouth is stated (Joshua 1:8) • A principle from the beginning (Gen 1:1-2) • Should talk more than you eat

  9. CHAPTER 6WHAT SHOULD YOU DO WITH PROPHECY • Set yourself to pray • The Spirit of God will guide you. • It is not the responsibility God to bring it to pass • Step into it by proclaiming it. (Heb 10:7)

  10. CHAPTER 7YOUR TALK IS YOUR FUTURE • You are the architect of your life. (Matt 17:20) • You are living yesterday • Today’s talk determines tomorrow • Your tongue is the director of your life • You are your own responsibility

  11. CHAPTER 8MAKE YOUR MOVE • Prophecies don’t fulfil themselves • All you need is within you • Speak right about yourself • See nothing but God • Praise God no matter what

  12. SUMMARY • You have to start • Christian maturity is in the mouth • Consciously monitor your communication • You are in the world but not of the world. • We are unique

  13. REMEMBER!!!!!!! • Today is given to you to use and enjoy and as a tool to determine tomorrow. Yesterday is gone and cannot be changed. All that is left of it is memory.  You cannot re-enter memory. Tomorrow is not here. We can only imagine and plan for it, for it belongs to God. You cannot store yesterday for use and so you cannot acquire tomorrow, but the word of God alone can free us from the effects of yesterday and also give us hope for tomorrow.
