  2. Possibly one of the most controversial owners in sports is Jerral Wayne Jones Sr., otherwise known as the infamous Jerry Jones. The owner of the Dallas Cowboys is a three time Super bowl winner. He is worth about 5 billion dollars

  3. Jerry Jones was born in Los Angeles, California then later moved to North Little Rock, Arkansas.

  4. While there, he played as a running back on North Little Rock High School.

  5. Jerry Jones played with many future hall-of-famers and football coaches during his time on the field. He is often known as one of the few NFL owners who found success playing football

  6. Jerry Jones did not find immediate success after college. After graduation, Jerry Jones took out a loan to open up a string of Shakey Pizza Parlor restaurantsAfter that business misstep, the future Dallas Cowboys owner then went to work at his father’s insurance company.

  7. During the time there, he got his master’s degree in business. Using his newly-gained knowledge and qualifications.he tried again a series of business ventures, including buying the San Diego Chargers.

  8. He finally became successful when he started the Jones Oil and Land Lease.This was the start of his rise as a tycoon. The funds he gained from this venture allowed him to ability to buy the Dallas Cowboys.

  9. On February 25, 1989, Jerry Jones purchased the Dallas Cowboys for $140 million. He immediately fired Tom Landry, who had been a coach for years.Instead, he brought on board Jimmy Johnson.

  10. Jerry Jones will one day be known as one of the greatest owners in history. He will be in the Cowboys Hall of Fame and NFL Hall of Fame.He took a team worth a 140 million dollars to over 4 billion dollars.

  11. Jerry Jones defined the success and showed failure time and time again to where he is today serving as a role model to many entrepreneurs in the world.
