  2. Our goal: remove it from the endangered species list with your help • Formed in 2001 to combat the extinction of the most unique variance of the white sturgeon

  3. A unique fish worth fighting for • No bones, but rather a cartilaginous skeletal structure • Instead of scales there is armor and razor sharp plates • The fish adapted to be large among large predators • 10,000 in existence pre-dam, 500 of spawning age now

  4. Libby Dam, Montana • Construction started in 1966 • Fully operational 1973 • Primary cause of drastic population decline
