Definitions Censorship - occurs when the government, special interest groups, or private individuals impose their moral or political values on others by suppressing words images or ideas that they find objectionable The First Amendment - Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise there of; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; and petition the government for a redress of grievance Obscenity - is when a picture offensive to morality or decency or causes uncontrolled sexual desire

  3. The Problem • It takes the artists right to express himself or herself away • Makes the world more bland

  6. My Solution • My solution is to have a panel or coalition of art historians and varies famous artist to see of the art that is really controversial has meaning behind it.
