  4. Research • There’s been an increase in schools that have required uniforms since 1999. • The average total amount of money spent on school clothes in a school uniform household is lower than households without school uniforms. • A specific colors are required for 90% of school uniforms

  5. Research • School kids in Kenya were given uniforms randomly and had an improvement in test scores and attendance. • A study in 1998 reported that parents spend more money on school clothes than school uniforms. • There was a decrease in competitiveness in Memphis, TN
