  2. “In a Class of Their Own” • Based on Bilal’s study, students show more academic growth at the elementary level when instructed in an all boys or all girls class. • At the elementary age, boys and girls mature at different rates. • By teaching only boys or girls, teachers can better respond to each student’s learning needs. • Long range studies on socializing still need to be completed.
