Warm-up • Create a list of do’s and don’ts in regards to using sound on a powerpoint presentation.
Sound • The primary use of sound in a presentation is for emphasis. • Bells for correct answers, buzzers for wrong… • Rushing water to enhance a rafting tour presentation • Avoid sounds that inhibit the presentation • Songs with inappropriate lyrics • Loud sounds that make it difficult to talk over • Insert Tab – Media - Audio
Macro • Macro = Recording of an action or set of actions that you use to automate tasks • Macros are written in code as a series of commands • Macros allow you to repeatedly preform an action like placing a picture in the same place on multiple slides. • To access the Microsoft Visual Basics Macros program, select the View Tab – Macros • Caution!!! Macros can allow expert hackers the ability to introduce viruses onto your Computer. Powerpoint has security features under the Developer Tab or options. • If you don’t know the source, Don’t trust the Macro
Action Buttons • Acton Buttons are interactive buttons you create in the shape gallery to preform specific tasks • Play a video or sound • Link to another slide • Insert – Shapes – Action Buttons
