  3. She was born on June 1st 1947 in Minneapolis Minnesota and she is currently still alive. Fjeld was born Deaf, nobody else in her family is Deaf and the cause is still unknown. She currently lives in Ventura, California.

  4. Fjeld is famous from making a movie based off of a book that she read and fell in love with , the book is “In This Sign”. The movie is called “Love Is Never Silent”. “Love Is Never Silent” won an Emmy Award for Best Picture.

  5. She is the daughter of the U.S Army General. Because of this she has moved from place to place and school to school. She grew up in what she called the “Dark Ages” for the deaf.

  6. I would say that she was treated no differently just because she was deaf. I would also say yes that she has made an impact on people because she made the first Deaf movie and now deaf people don’t have to read captions to watch movies or TV shows.
