Market Metric Working Group 2004 Key Accomplishments • Market Metric Working Group was established in April 2004 • MMWG website established containing meeting information, reporting requirements, issue discussion/resolution, questions/answers and consistent template for reporting • Identified tracking/reporting change to Move-In 814-04s where an 814-28(PT) for an inspection delays the response time for an 814-04 – ERCOT assessed and plans to implement in 1st Quarter 2005 • At RMS direction, created an SCR for Estimated Meter Read Data • MMWG reviewed MIMO reporting and determined no impacts to required reporting • Reduced filing volume by 38,000 pages as a result of PUCT Staff recommendation to remove unpopulated rows • MMWG documented & presented the Disconnect/Reconnect for Non-Pay reporting requirements (#29760) to RMS
MMWG 2004 Monthly Accomplishments April • Market Metric Working Group was established and elections were held • Identified tracking/reporting change to Move-In 814-04s where an 814-28(PT) for an inspection delays the response time for an 814-04 – ERCOT assessed and plans to implement in 1st Quarter 2005 May • ERCOT established and will maintain MMWG website that will contain all MMWG meeting information along with reporting requirements and templates • Reviewed and made minor changes to the #24462 Filing template June • At RMS direction, MMWG created an SCR for Estimated Meter Read Data
MMWG 2004 Monthly Accomplishments July • Working Group Procedures including a change control process were approved by RMS • Reviewed PRR 518 Business Day definition and agreed to not change any tracking/reporting from the current 48 and 62 hours to continue the consistency in which data has been reported August • MMWG reviewed MIMO reporting and determined that there would be no impacts to required reporting – ERCOT incorporated the new cancel types starting with third quarter summary in the supplemental data provided to the Public Utility Commission of Texas • ERCOT implemented PIP188 into their reporting – meter reading protocol changed from 12 hours to 4 hours to turnaround a meter read transaction. September • ERCOT presented 2nd Quarter #24462 Market Performance to RMS • Determined that the majority of the reporting requirements under #24462 quarterly filings are used to some level by PUCT
MMWG 2004 Monthly Accomplishments October • Drafted MMWG section for the Retail Market Guide and distributed for comments in November – plan to submit to appropriate subcommittee for approval and submission into Updated version of the Retail Market Guide • Q&A section added to MMWG website to provide consistent answers to frequently asked questions of ERCOT and PUCT Staff • Reduced the filing volume by 38,000 pages as a result of PUCT Staff recommendation to remove unpopulated rows November • MMWG presented the Disconnect/Reconnect for Non-Pay reporting requirements (#29760) to RMS – all market participants are to comply by January reporting • Identified impacts and potential causes of zip code errors in electronic transactions which were addressed with each market participant – plan to continue monitoring to ensure potential market issues are identified in a timely manner • Overall, MMWG helped facilitate timely and consistent quarterly filings of market participants by providing a central location for requirements, issue discussion/resolution, questions/answers and a consistent template for reporting
