What is the Ordeal? • The ordeal is a major crisis in the story when enemy forces are in the most stressful state of battle.
What is atonement with the father? • The Atonement with the father is to not make the same mistakes that the father has made in life or battle strategies. Like Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker, their conflict as father and son.
What does the hero lose? • After the hero almost ends up losing his life in a near death experience, the hero does end up losing some hatred towards the enemy as mercy had been shown, and the did not kill the hero.
What does the hero gain? • The hero gains a better understanding for life itself, being able to see the connections with things. After a near death experience with the enemy he grows a better understanding for things, and is more appreciative.
The apotheosis • The apotheosis in the story, kind of like the climax is when the hero has to face its fear, and battle the enemy. Its just like an everyday fear, but a bit more extreme. The hero has to just face it and do it.
What is the result of the ordeal? • The result is the hero overcoming it’s fears. It’s fear, being the enemy.
