How can you stay safe? • Don’t try to buy fireworks. It’s against the law to buy fireworks, or even to carry them in public, if you are under 18 – so don’t. Leave it to the professionals!
Sparklers seem innocent enough but they can get can get incredibly hot – up to 1,500 degrees centigrade – so be careful. Wear gloves, and once they have gone out, drop them into a bucket of water. It’s safer than dropping them on the ground, and it makes a great hissing noise.
