Johnny and Sally are making their dog Clifford The Big Red Dog a very big dog house.
They need to figure out how big they need to make the dog house by measuring Clifford.
If Clifford’s body is 12 feet long and he is 20 feet tall and when he stretches his legs out he is 32 feet long. They want to give him a comfortable space, so they are going to make it 35 feet long, and 20 feet wide.
But Johnny and Sally forgot that Clifford is very wide and when they built the dog house the door was too small, and Clifford got stuck!
To get him out they had to used 6 tubs of butter and 3 gallons of water once they got him out they fixed the door by…
measuring around Clifford’s big circle shaped stomach to get the circumference- distance around a circle. It was exactly 13 feet wide and so they made the door 15 feet wide.
They also forget to make a roof so theymeasured how tall Clifford was and then made the walls that tall. They put a roof on top of the walls, and it was finished!
