  2. The battle of San Jacinto began on April 21 1836

  3. The 21st of April dawned bright and beautiful .The main force of the Texas army were there, totaling about 750 men. They faced over 1500 of the enemy, secure and flushed with pride at the offense they had enjoyed for the previous few weeks against the Texans

  4. The battle • The battle of San Jacinto was a unexpected fight • Sam Houston and his army attacked while Santa Anna and his army were sleeping

  5. A Short battle • The battle only lasted for about 18 minutes it was not that long. • During the battle Santa Anna slipped away.

  6. Santa Anna was in the battle of San Jacinto so was Sam Houston.

  7. During that fight Sam Houston fell of his horse and hurt his leg.

  8. The battle of San Jacinto was the last battle fought during the Texas revolution . The Texans won the battle and we gained our independence .
