WeldSaver Overview • Water control unit designed to monitor and control coolant flow in robotic welding systems • Accurately monitors coolant flow to weld guns or the entire cooling circuit for a weld cell • Quickly and reliably detects loss of flow continuity from a cap loss or other break in the flow circuit and shuts down coolant flow in less than 1 second!   5. It’s a Flow Meter • Web browser-based graphical user interface displays the actual coolant flow rate through the system in GPM or LPM • Signals flow status to the weld controller FLOW MANAGEMENT EXCELLENCE

  6. It’s a Flow Valve • Coolant flow can be turned ON and OFF through the browser interface or remotely from the weld controller FLOW MANAGEMENT EXCELLENCE

  7. It’s a Flow Monitor • Flow status information is indicated on the interface at all times • Signals the weld controller if there is not enough coolant flow to make effective welds FLOW MANAGEMENT EXCELLENCE

  8. It’s a Very Fast Leak Detector • Detects a cap loss in less than 300 msec • Shuts off coolant flow in less than 1 sec • Signals the weld controller to stop the weld program FLOW MANAGEMENT EXCELLENCE

Vortex Meter Technology • Reliable and accurate measurement of coolant flow in both the supply and return lines • In-line sensors detect the frequency of vortices shed by a bluff body in the flow stream • Performance is not affected by the cleanliness of the fluid in the cooling circuit • Eliminates moving parts from the flow sensor FLOW MANAGEMENT EXCELLENCE

EtherNet/IP™ Communication • Convenient network integration and accessibility • Can be operated directly from a pendant or remotely from the weld controller – or from a standard PC! • Web browser-based graphical user interface provides real-time information on device status, with clear visual indicators and descriptions • Conforms to ODVA specifications FLOW MANAGEMENT EXCELLENCE

TO ROBOT FROM ROBOT Temperature Measurement • Sensors are housed inside the bluff bodies to enable measurement of fluid temperatures directly in the flow path • Supply- and return-side sensors provide responsive and accurate measurement of coolant temperature • Information allows optimization of the coolant flow through each weld cell to conserve energy FLOW MANAGEMENT EXCELLENCE
