  1. Tween Review Definition: "Tween" is actually short for "in-between“ Refers to the creation of successive frames of animation between key frames The designer user can define two key frames and Flash will automatically create the in-between frames

  2. Frames and Keyframes • Keyframes are used to mark the starting and/or ending of any sequence. • Frames are inserted in between keyframes to extend the transition / duration between keyframes

  3. Three Types of Tweens Shape Classic Motion

  4. Shape Tween When you want to dramatically change an object’s shape, such as changing an acorn into a tree.

  5. Classic Tween Classic tweens are like motion tweens, but are more complex to create. Classic tweens allow for some specific animated effects not possible with span-based tweens.

  6. Motion Tween Motion tweening can be a basic "Point A to Point B" process, moving a circle from one corner of our stage to another ( Tweening doesn't just cover linear motion, though; you can also rotate your symbols as they move, or rotate them in place.)

  7. The Timeline • Timeline – determines the sequence of movie • A frame on timeline represent a “unit of time” • The time is determined by the frame rate (FPS – frames per second) • There are “Layers” for different objects or functions • All layers share the same timeline (sequence and duration) Polytechnic_Workshop
