ESF 6 – Mass Care • Current Issues • In Mississippi • TSA Canteens - 12 in Jackson Co, 13 in Harrision Co and 2 in Hancock Co. • ARC reports it has augmented it's ERV fleet with over 40 panel vans and has 17 shelters open with 1,538 shelterees. • ARC has a warehouse in Gulfport and TSA has one in Biloxi. Stennis is moving a large variety of resources to these warehouses. • New mobile kitchens have arrive and Stennis is providing logistical support.
ESF 6 – Mass Care • Current Issues • Shelters • There is one shelter in Washington County open with 26 shelterees. It should close tomorrow. • 3 more members of ther ESF 6 / Human Services team have been demobilized and have returned to Tallahassee. The Humans Services team still has 18 members still in Mississippi. ESF 8 – Health & Medical • Current Issues • Currently there are 197 staff deployed to Mississippi, to date 390 staff (including all EMS) have been deployed as of September 10 • All Advance Life Support (ALS) units and Regional Emergency Response Advisors (RERA) have demobilized from Mississippi • Environmental Health has begun inspecting temporary mobile home parks and state parks where displaced persons are settling. • Finalize procedures for tracking IDPs • Assessing which schools are seeing the largest number of displaced child enrollees to better target assets and critical need • No Health Care facility issues identified in Florida. • National Disaster Medical System Status-Florida: No transports of internally displaced persons scheduled 9/9/05-9/10/05. • CO (Carbon Monoxide) Posters being translated/printed and shipped to Mississippi and for FL

ESF 11 – Food & Water • Current Issues • 250 truckloads of water ordered for Florida: • 68 trucks of water have been delivered and staged as of today. • 82 additional trucks will be delivered within 72 hrs. • 3 trucks of shelf stable meals • 6 truckloads (@ 6000 cases) of USDA commodities en route to Red Cross and Salvation Army for mass feeding. • 5 person ESF 11 LSA team on site at Stennis handling missions • Plans developed for replacement and subsequent demobilization of ESF 11 LSA team at Stennis • Unmet Needs • None at this time • Future Operations • Implement demobilization plan as appropriate • Monitor deliveries of water and ice into state warehouses. ESF 12 – Energy • Current Issues • OPHELIA - ELECTRICITY • Coordinating with utilities to ensure readiness if Ophelia makes landfall in Florida. • FUELS • Continue conference calls with industry regarding fuel availability. • MISSISSIPPI - ELECTRICITY • Mississippi Electric Power Association: Total of 105,650 without power • The following is a breakdown of the power outages within the counties which are being assisted by the State of Florida: • Hancock County - 42,250 • Pearl River County - 18,250 • Jackson County - 4,300 • Total - 64,800 • Mississippi Power: Total of 50,988 without power • The following is a breakdown of the power outages within the counties which are being assisted by the State of Florida: • Harrison County - 27,883 • Jackson County - 3,112 • George County - 96 • Stone County - 449 • Pearl River County - 2,480 • Hancock County - 6,181 • Total - 40,201
ESF 12 – Energy • Current Issues • Entergy - Total of 6,750 without power • Mississippi Power - Estimated time of restoration. • Mississippi Power estimates that all customers who can safely receive power will have service restored by the end of the day Sunday, 9/11/05. • Restoration goals for restoring service to customers who can safely receive power include: • September 6: Ocean Springs • September 7: Leakesville, Lucedale, Meridian, Richton • September 8: Bay St. Louis, Long Beach, Wiggins/Saucier • September 9: Pascagoula/Moss Point, Pass Christian, DeLisle • September 10: Hattiesburg, Laurel • September 11: Biloxi, Gulfport, Picayune, Poplarville
ESF 12 – Energy • Current Issues • KATRINA - FUELS • Available bulk fuel - 151.1 million gallons in state and available, 115.8 million gallons due in 3 days, 230.3 million gallons due in 9 days. • Retail Outlets: • Escambia County: Within the I-10 corridor, 67% of the facilities surveyed had plenty of fuel, while 33% were low. Outside of the I-10 corridor, 38% of the facilities surveyed had plenty of fuel, 8% were low and 54% were completely out. • Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, Washington and Bay Counties: Within the I-10 corridor, 29% of the facilities within these counties had plenty of fuel, while 57% were low and 14% were completely out. Outside of the I-10 corridor, 22% of the facilities surveyed had plenty of fuel, 39% were low and 39% were completely out. • Leon and Gadsden Counties: 62% of the facilities surveyed this morning had plenty of fuel, while 35% were low and 3% were completely out. • Duval County: 80% of the facilities surveyed had plenty of fuel, while 20% were low. • Columbia, Suwannee, Madison, Baker and St. Johns Counties: 80% of the facilities in these counties had plenty of fuel, while 20% were low.
