Israel Expert Was gone the week we did this. • Zionism-a worldwide Jewish movement that ended with the development of Israel. • Persecution-campaign used to exterminate people because, of their religion, race, or beliefs. Israeli Establishment: • How? Israel proclaimed its independence. • When? May 11, 1949 • Why? The war was over and Israel focused on building the state.

Israeli Expert • Israel receives 3 billion dollars a year in economic and military grants, refugee settlement assistance and other aid. • Israelis don’t like the Palestinians and they think that the land of Israel is there's and not the Palestinians. • The Israelis are mistreating the Palestinians by basically having a Holocaust. The Palestinians are being massacred and the Israelis are using genocide.
