The advantages of a centralized IT governance system • Greater leverage in deploying strategic IT initiatives. • Better control of security and databases
The disadvantages of a centralized IT governance system • Technology may not meet local needs. • Us versus them mentality when technology problems occur. It was not ideal for the faculty. A faculty meeting about email revealed some concerns with this.
