  2. Social Bookmarking • Social Bookmarking is Organizing, storing, managing, and searching for bookmarks online.

  4. Twitter.com • Twitter is a real time information network. • Twitter is a social networking and microblogging service that enables its users to send and read messages known as tweets.

  5. Ask.com • Ask. Com is the #1 question answering service that delivers the best answers from the web and real people - all in one place.

  6. Google Bookmarks • Google Bookmarks is a free online bookmark storage service, available to Google Account holders. It allows one to bookmark favorite websites and add labels or tags, and also notes.

  7. Youtube.com • Youtube.com is a video sharing website on which users can upload and share videos.

  8. Delicious.com • Is a social bookmarking web service for storing, sharing, and discovering web bookmarks. • Classification system in which users can tag each of their bookmarks. It displays the most recent links tagged "wiki". Its makes it possible to view bookmarks added by other users.

  9. Yahoo buzz.com • Yahoo Buzz.com is the place where you can talk about and shape the best stories people are reading right now.

  10. Portaportal.com • Portaportal is a web based bookmarking utility that lets you store links to your favorite websites online. Now your bookmarks are no longer limited to any one machine.

  11. Use in the Classroom • Ask.com, Google bookmarks, and yahoo buzz.com are the more useful bookmarking sites for educational use in many classrooms. • Youtube.com is a touchy bookmarking site, because it is very easy to get off topic while using it. • Twitter.com, delicious.com, and portaportal.com are not the best bookmarking sites because they are distracting and confusing to use.

  12. Professional Development • It aids teachers in giving students a better understanding of the material being used in class. • It helps students keep up to date with what is currently happening in the world around them.

  13. Why Does this Technology Matter? • This technology is very important you can better your own knowledge to share with anyone and almost everyone.

  14. What’s the Future look like? • There is a future for this technology in education, although it will constantly be advancing and changing through the years. • There most likely will be more of an interaction from teachers to students with the use of the internet.
