What damage can a virus do? • Possible problems are • Not being able to use your computer at all! • Installing itself and telling you have a problem • Deletion of files • Deletion of programs • Edit and messing up your files • Finding out your personal information • Or nothing at all... So really All they do is, annoy you on your computer and find things out about you  Ehow.com

  6. How to stop viruses from coming in? ! Protection !

  7. ! Protection ! To protect from viruses you need a form of protection Good ideas are: Anti-virus software, e.g. Norton, Avast etc. Firewall Protection programs

  8. Ways not to get one in the first place- • Don’t click if you don’t know what it is • Stay away from –websites –links -emails you don’t know or don’t look right. • If something looks like Spam or not usual just leave it...

  9. So say your friend sends you a message on msn, facebook or another social network And it doesn’t sound like them e.g. They didn’t say hi or a greeting. And it has a link. Something like this Don’t press on it this is an example of spam sent round through social network. If you click on it, it can infect your computer.

  10. Draw backs from anti-viral .. • Costly and especially if you have to renew even year or 6 months. • The space it takes on your drive • With all this information and big file program the slower your computer/laptop may be.
