Border or margin • Use of border is an interesting idea for a poster. • Border size must not be too big or small. • Too big border can occupy more area of your poster. • Generally a normal border size can be set to 1 inch. • Go to Grid and guide feature to set the margin and spacing for the poster.

Font • Font that are clearly visible must be added to the poster. • Headings must be greater in size than rest of the content. • The size of content must not be too big or to small that makes it difficult to read. • Headline must be highlighted properly. • Color of text must be complementary to the background color which means if the background is set to light color, the color of text must be dark. • This makes the text clearly visible and pleasant to the eyes. • Simple font style is far better since it helps to easily read the content even form a distance.

Image • Poster is incomplete without an image. • Try adding at least 2-3 images in a poster. • But choose those image that displays or highlights the content of your text. • Choosing relevant images helps viewers to connect with the information unmistakably. • You can add image in a poster by going to insert and clicking on pictures. Once the image is added you can resize it, crop it, add border to it and place it according to your will.
